The changes are coming at Bayern Munich this summer after the dismal season. The Bavarian club is looking to finalize a deal for Vincent Kompany this week. Bayern have agreed a deal with the Belgian coach and the compensation fee with Burnley,

After completing the appointment of Kompany, Bayern will focus on transfers to strengthen the squad. The club chiefs believe a squad overhaul is needed to get back to winning silverware next season. Bayern are open to making tough decisions this summer that can benefit the squad in the long run.

In terms of incomings, Kicker (via iMiaSanMia) has reported that Bayern are aiming for five signings. They are already in the market for a striker to replace Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The Cameroon international is leaving Bayern after the end of his contract on June 30.

VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy has been heavily linked with Bayern this season. He scored 28 goals in the Bundesliga this season. Guirassy has a release clause worth €17.5 million in his contract at Stuttgart, making him a feasible strike option for Bayern in the transfer market.

Along with a striker, Bayern also want to sign a winger to strengthen the attack. They are reportedly open to listening offers for Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the summer. Dani Olmo, Chris Führich, and Xavi Simons have been recently linked with a move to Munich.

In the midfield, Bayern want to strengthen the number six position. They tried to sign a holding midfielder last summer, but a move for Fulham’s Joao Palhinha fell through on the deadline day. Bayern have been linked with Amadou Onana and Martin Zubimendi for this role in the past few months.

Left-back and center-back are the final two positions Bayern want to strengthen in the summer. The signing of a left-back will depend on Alphonso Davies’ future in Bavaria. The Canadian has a contract offer on the table from Bayern. If he refuses to sign a new deal, Die Roten will sell him this summer. AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez is the top candidate to replace Davies.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah is the top target for Bayern in central defense. The German international has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Leverkusen. The Bavarian club may look for another center-back if one of their senior defenders leaves in the summer. These five positions are expected to be addressed in the summer. Further signings will rely on departures as the future of several senior players is uncertain
