Bayern Munich are currently looking to iron out a deal for Burnley’s head coach, Vincent Kompany. The Belgian head coach is Bayern’s preferred candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel after suffering disappointments with other candidates. Bayern are negotiating with Burnley for compensation after agreeing a three-year deal with Kompany.

Along with sorting out a deal for Kompany, Bayern are also initiating plans for the summer transfer window. It will be a significant transfer window for Die Roten as they look to make several changes in the squad. They want to bring back hunger to the team by changing personnel during the summer.

Die Roten are going to strengthen the attack in the summer. Xavi Simons is one of the targets for Bayern. Along with Simons, Rekordmeister have added another RB Leipzig forward to the list of their transfer targets.

According to Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo is on Bayern’s transfer list to strengthen the squad in the summer. The Spanish attacker has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract at RB Leipzig. Bayern will face competition from Barcelona and the Premier League for Olmo.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has been a consistent performer for RB Leipzig in the last five seasons. He can play anywhere behind the striker. Olmo has chipped in with eight goals and five assists for RB Leipzig this season. It will be intriguing to see where Bayern thinks Olmo will fit in the system at Bayern.

Bayern can certainly look for better flexible attacking players than Olmo for €60 million in the summer. Unless there are significant departures at Bayern, spending such a big fee on one attacking midfielder doesn’t make sense for the record Bundesliga champions.

A move for Olmo’s teammate- Xavi Simons, will be more sensible for Bayern. The Dutch attacking midfielder’s ceiling is much higher than Olmo. Moreover, Simons is more effective in the final third than Olmo. The Dutch international also has several years at the top level ahead of him than the Spanish attacking midfielder.

Apart from Simons and Olmo, Bayern have been strongly linked with VfB Stuttgart’s Chris Fuhrich to strengthen the attack. The German forward reportedly prefers a move to Bayern over Borussia Dortmund. Fuhrich will be a much cheaper signing than Olmo and Simons.

Bayern are reportedly open to listening offers for Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the summer. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has already left Bayern, so one forward will arrive in the summer. Depending on further departures, deals for other attackers will be pursued.
