After losing the Bundesliga title by a big margin, Bayern Munich will undergo a squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. The record German champions will make tough decisions as they look to regain consistency in performances and results on the pitch.

Several reports in Germany have suggested that the future of several star players at Bayern is up in the air. Serge Gnabry is one of the players who could be on his way out from Munich in the summer. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern are open to listening to offers for Gnabry when the summer transfer window opens in June.

Gnabry is not in a rush to leave Bayern. The German forward wants to play in Munich next season. Unless a big offer from another big European club arrives in the summer, Gnabry wants to stay in Bavaria.

The German forward’s contract at Die Roten expires in 2026. He is one of the highest earners in the squad. Since Bayern are looking to rebuild the squad, it is not surprising to see Gnabry on the list of possible departures in the summer.

Gnabry has struggled for consistency since signing the new deal at Bayern in 2022. He ended the last campaign strongly by scoring multiple goals that helped the Bavarian club to retain the Bundesliga title. Gnabry looked to build on the form he showed under Thomas Tuchel last season, but injuries have troubled him this season.

The German international has struggled to find rhythm and consistency in performances this campaign. He was on the sidelines for close to three months due to a muscle injury. After returning to action in March, Gnabry has looked sharp in the final third, scoring four goals in the last five games.

The 28-year-old forward was on the scoresheet against Arsenal last week. However, a hamstring injury at the Emirates Stadium has ruled him out for three weeks. Gnabry needs a strong end to the season to convince the club hierarchy and new coach to keep him for next season. He also needs strong performances to get into the German national team for the European championship in the summer.

Apart from Gnabry, Kingsley Coman is the other forward Bayern are reportedly open to selling in the summer. The future of Joshua Kimmich is also uncertain. The German midfielder wants to know more about Bayern’s next head coach before making a decision on his future.
