Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany was full of praise of Michael Olise following his stunning performance against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
Michael Olise has well and truly arrived at Bayern Munich. The big-money summer signing from Crystal Palace had a week to remember, as he scored his first Bundesliga goal last weekend against Holstein Kiel and followed that up with a brace on his UEFA Champions League debut (against Dinamo Zagreb). He left the best for last, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists during Saturday's 5-0 win over Werder Bremen.
"His start at FC Bayern couldn't have been much better" - Vincent Kompany hails Michael Olise's impact
It was a sublime performance from Olise, who has quickly become a very important player for Bayern Munich. And Vincent Kompany is delighted with the Frenchman's start to life in Bavaria.
During his post-match press conference on Saturday, the Bayern Munich head coach said, "He's a special talent. It's a luxury at Bayern to have so many good players. Michael did very well. His start at FC Bayern couldn't have been much better. He has to keep going. I haven't got the feeling that he's a player who feels much pressure. He just enjoys football."
Bayern Munich beat out competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace this past summer. And the 22 year old couldn't have asked for a better start to life at the Allianz Arena, having scored five goals and assisted a further three in his first six appearances for the club.
Next up for Olise and Bayern Munich is a home game against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. And another strong performance from the winger would help him further cement his status as a fan favorite at the club.
