Bayern Munich star hoping for new lease of life under Vincent Kompany
By Tushar Bahl
A Bayern Munich winger is hoping for a fresh start at Bayern Munich under Vincent Kompany next season after being reduced to a bit-part role by Thomas Tuchel.
Bayern Munich certainly seem to have an embarrassment of riches at the moment when it comes to attacking options. Since their failed Bundesliga title defense last season, the Bavarians have already signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. The Bayern bosses are also in talks to bring in Xavi Simons and Désiré Doué.
With competition for places heating up, it will be interesting to see what Bayern's attempts to bolster their attack mean for Bryan Zaragoza, who will be desperate for more playing time at the Allianz Arena next season.
Bryan Zaragoza hoping for Bayern Munich breakthrough
According to BILD, the Spaniard worked very hard during the off-season and is already back in training, two days before the official start of pre-season at the club. The tabloid adds that the 22 year old is eager to make a fresh start at Bayern after failing to make much of an impression following his transfer from Granada in January.
While Zaragoza is not considering other options, Bayern will evaluate their plans for the winger after the new season gets underway.
Sky Sport claim that pre-season performances will dictate whether or not Zaragoza is part of the squad for the coming campaign. If he is unable to make much of an impression on Vincent Kompany, a loan move could well be in the offing. Another factor could be whether or not Bayern are able to sell the likes of Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. Both players are free to leave the club this summer.
The report adds that a number of clubs have already registered interest in signing Bryan Zaragoza on a loan deal.
