Bayern Munich have completed the blockbuster signing of Michael Olise, with the talented winger signing a five year contract with the club.
Michael Olise becomes Bayern Munich’s second signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Hiroki Ito from VfB Stuttgart. Bayern beat out completion from a number of English Premier League clubs for the signing of Olise, who is regarded as one of the best young wingers in Europe.
Reports have claimed that Crystal Palace will receive a fee in the region of 55-60 million euros for Olise, who becomes Bayern Munich’s fourth most expensive signing of all time. The 22 year old has put pen to paper on a five year contract with the Bavarians.
Bayern Munich were desperate to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer. And in Olise, they have signed a player with exceptional talent who could make an instant impact.
"It's a great challenge, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years," Olise said.
Even though he struggled with injuries for much of this season, Olise still managed to showcase his quality and ended the campaign with ten goals and six assists in 19 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace.
Michael Olise has the potential to become one of the best wingers in the world, and he will no doubt get the opportunity to develop into one at Bayern Munich. Capable of playing in a variety of different attacking roles, it will be exciting to see how the Frenchman links up with the likes of Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane.
