The transfer rumour mill is in full swing since the season has come to an end. Bayern Munich have been linked with several players after their campaign ended with a defeat against Hoffenheim. The Bavarian club will look to significantly strengthen the squad in the summer after enduring a trophyless campaign.

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has been heavily linked with Bayern in the last couple of weeks. The agent of the Portuguese playmaker has reportedly held talks with several big clubs, including Bayern, to explore a transfer away from Old Trafford.

However, Die Roten are not focussing on signing Fernandes. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern have no plans to make a move for the Portuguese playmaker. The Bavarian club is looking at other players to strengthen the attack in the summer.

Fernandes has been one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe over the last five years. He was Manchester United’s best player last season. Despite the healthy chance creation rate, it makes no sense for Bayern to pay a big fee for the 30-year-old attacking midfielder. Die Roten don’t need another pure number ten in the squad since Jamal Musiala and Thomas Muller play behind the striker.

From a financial perspective, Manchester United will ask for a big fee for Fernandes. The Portuguese international is one of the highest earners at the English club. Fernandes will look for a similar wage package if he leaves Manchester in the summer.

Bayern have identified PSG's Xavi Simons as their top target to strengthen the attack. The Dutch international had a productive loan spell at RB Leipzig last season. He is going back to Paris Saint-Germain, but a summer transfer is a distinct possibility for him.

PSG have no plans to part ways with Simons. Bayern have their work cut out to complete this transfer. They have also been linked with Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, while VfB Stuttgart’s Chris Führich also remains on the club’s shortlist to strengthen the attack during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Tah has emerged as the top candidate to strengthen the defense. The German defender has been tight-lipped about his future at Bayer Leverkusen, but Bayern have reportedly agreed personal terms with him. A transfer is unlikely to take place before the start of the Euros as Tah is involved with the German national team. Bayern also want to sign midfielder and striker in the summer.
