Bayern Munich have seemingly reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Jonathan Tah as they look to bolster their defensive ranks this summer.

Signing a new center-back is high on Bayern Munich's list of priorities for this summer, and Jonathan Tah is said to be one of the club's top targets. An agreement has now been reached with the Bayer Leverkusen star on personal terms, according to Sky Sport. The report adds that the key details of the transfer have already been discussed.

However, there is still no guarantee that the transfer will take place this summer as Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich have yet to hold concrete negotiations. A number of other clubs are also said to be interested in signing the 28 year old, and his stock is higher than ever after he played a key role in Leverkusen's stunning run to the Bundesliga title this season.

Tah is reportedly keen on a move to Bayern Munich, with his current contract expiring at the end of next season. He will have a crucial role to play in Germany's bid to win the European Championship this summer, and strong performances at the tournament could raise his price tag.

Bayern will likely have to sell a center-back if they decide to sign Tah this summer. Eric Dier is set to stay and Kim Min-jae has also made it clear that he does not want to leave, while Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt have both been linked with moves away from the club.
