Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Xavi Simons is said to be a concrete target for Bayern Munich, with Max Eberl pushing to sign him this summer.
On the back of his impressive loan spell with RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons is attracting the interest of Bayern Munich. Multiple reports are claiming that the Dutch midfielder is one of Bayern’s top targets for the summer transfer window, with the club looking to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Paris Saint-Germain have already made it clear that Simons is an integral part of their plans for the future. But he could be set for another loan move this summer, with RB Leipzig also keen to keep him at the club for another season. FC Barcelona are also said to be interested in bringing Simons back to the club.
It remains to be seen if Bayern Munich will be able to convince PSG to part ways with Simons permanently. But Max Eberl is a big fan of the 21 year old, and is said to be pushing internally for his signature. Eberl was at RB Leipzig when Simons joined the club last summer.
Xavi Simons made a total of 43 appearances for RB Leipzig in the recently concluded season and played a crucial role in helping them finish fourth in the Bundesliga standings. He scored ten goals and assisted a further 15 across all competitions, and is now set to play a crucial role for the Netherlands at the upcoming European Championship. The expectation is that he will decide on his future after Euro 2024.
