Bayern Munich are working on a deal to sign a forward on loan before the end of the transfer window. The three competitive games they have played this season have shown the incredible quality of their attack. However, they need at least one forward to have more depth in the squad to compete across all competitions.

Die Roten tried hard to sign Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart. They had three bids rejected for the German forward. After the Franz Beckenbauer Cup two weeks ago, Stuttgart closed the door for Woltemade to join Bayern this summer. However, the German forward is on his way to the Premier League.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Newcastle United have agreed a deal with Stuttgart for Woltemade. The Premier League side will be paying a fixed fee close to €85 million with €5 million in add-ons. Woltemade has also given the nod for this move as he travels to complete the medical this weekend.

Stuttgart are getting a much bigger fee than what they wanted from Bayern. They wanted close to €75 million from Die Roten. The defending Bundesliga champions were expected to return for him next summer, but it does look like the opportunity to play in the Champions League and Premier League has convinced Woltemade to make the move.

The 23-year-old German forward will most likely replace Aleksandar Isak at Newcastle United. The Swedish forward has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool before the end of the transfer window.

Woltemade will be the second German forward to move to the Premier League despite strong interest from Bayern. Florian Wirtz opted to join Liverpool over Bayern. In Woltemade’s case, Bayern had agreed personal terms, but couldn’t reach an agreement on the transfer fee with Stuttgart.

Christopher Nkunku set for AC Milan move

Bayern are also set to miss out on Christopher Nkunku. According to several media reports in Italy, England, and France, Chelsea have agreed a fee with AC Milan for Nkunku. The French forward is expected to complete the transfer in the next couple of days.

The defending German champions had a loan bid rejected for Nkunku. Bayern wanted Nkunku on loan, but Chelsea were eager to complete a permanent transfer. AC Milan are paying close to €42 million for the French forward.

Bayern remain in talks with Chelsea for the signing of Nicolas Jackson. It does look like the Premier League side could open the door for a loan departure for the Senegalese forwards. With deadline day just three days away, Bayern are running out of options to strengthen the attack by signing a player on a loan deal.
