Bayern Munich wanted to strengthen the attack this summer by getting top German talent in the form of Florian Wirtz. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Bayern for several years. The Bundesliga champions had put in a lot of groundwork to sign him this summer, but he opted for a move to Liverpool.

With Wirtz joining Liverpool, Bayern had to focus on other options to strengthen the attack. The Bundesliga champions have turned their attention to another promising young German talent to bolster Kompany’s strike force for next season.

According to Sky Sports in Germany and Bild, Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade has agreed on personal terms with Bayern. Max Eberl held concrete talks with his representatives last week, and the board has given the green light to complete the move. The German striker will sign a five-year deal once Die Roten agree on a transfer fee with VfB Stuttgart.

Bayern are yet to open negotiations with VfB Stuttgart. With Woltemade at U-21 Euros, Die Roten have ample amount of time to negotiate a fee with Stuttgart.

Stuttgart will look for a big fee for Woltemade

Die Roten have got the easy part of the deal out of the way by agreeing personal terms with the striker. The tougher part will be negotiations with VfB Stuttgart. They can ask for a big fee since Woltemade has three years left on his contract.

Woltemade was one of the impressive strikers in the Bundesliga this season. He scored 17 goals for Stuttgart in 32 appearances across all competitions. The 23-year-old striker has also scored two goals for Germany in the ongoing U-21 Euros. He has a big part to play for Germany in the final against England.

The 23-year-old German striker is a menace for defenders with his physical prowess. He is also very smart with the ball, creating chances for other forwards. Stuttgart may look for €40-50 million to part ways with the German forward. It will be interesting to see how Bayern plan to play Woltemade alongside Harry Kane.

Apart from Woltemade, Die Roten are also in the market for a left winger. They have struggled to work on deals for top targets. Bradley Barcola is not leaving Paris Saint-Germain, while Nico Williams prefers a move to Barcelona over Bayern. The next few weeks will be crucial for Bayern since the Club World Cup has clearly highlighted the need for reinforcements in the attack.
