Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich

Bayern needs to win the Der Klassiker on Tuesday to get some breathing space in the Bundesliga title race. Despite the new injury worries, Flick will be able to field a strong team that can get the job done at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.

Manuel Neuer showed great command in his box against Frankfurt to end some potent counterattacks. The German goalkeeper will continue to play in the goal on Tuesday. Jerome Boateng and David Alaba will be again trusted to guard Neuer in central defense. Benjamin Pavard and Alphonso Davies will complete the backline by slotting in their respective full-back positions.

More from Bayern Strikes

Flick had moved Leon Goretzka in a deeper role on Saturday due to the absence of Thiago. The German manager will have to stick with the same approach on Tuesday. Goretzka was relentless in the deeper role, contributing in all phases of the game. He will be partnered in the midfield with Joshua Kimmich.

Thomas Muller continues to thrive under Flick. The German will get another chance to shine in his preferred number ten role. Muller will be supported by Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman on the left and right sides, respectively. Robert Lewandowski will be leading the line for the visitors, looking to continue his scoring run.
