Match Preview: Bayern Munich gear up to host Eintracht Frankfurt
Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich
Flick will have one eye on Tuesday’s Der Klassiker, but the game against Frankfurt is equally important. The German manager is likely to go with a strong XI and then utilize all five substitutes if the fate of the match is sealed quickly.
Manuel Neuer continued his good form last weekend by collecting a clean sheet. The German goalkeeper penned a new deal this week, squashing speculation about his future. Fresh from signing a new deal, Neuer will be looking to continue his good form on Saturday. In front of him, Lucas Hernandez and David Alaba will form the center-back partnership, allowing Jerome Boateng to get some rest before the game against Dortmund. Benjamin Pavard and Alphonso Davies will slot in their respective full-back positions.

Thiago will be a big miss, but Flick will be hopeful that he returns on Tuesday. In place of him, Leon Goretzka is likely to occupy the role of the box to box midfielder. He will partner with Joshua Kimmich in the center of the park. Kimmich will be the deeper midfielder in this position, dictating the tempo of the game.
Ahead of the midfield pivot, Thomas Muller should start in the number ten position. The German forward is at his best behind the striker. Muller will be flanked by Serge Gnabry on the left and Kingsley Coman on the right. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the home side, chasing the elusive 40 goal target in one season of the Bundesliga.
