Team News for Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry had reportedly missed two days of training due to injury. However, the German winger was spotted with the first team on Friday. Hansi Flick also confirmed that Gnabry is most likely to be ready for Saturday’s game.

Apart from Gnabry, Thiago Alcantara had also missed training sessions due to adductor problems. Flick remained tightlipped about the availability of the Spanish midfielder. It will be a big blow for Die Roten since Thiago has been in sublime form and heartbeat of the midfield.

Javi Martinez started training with the squad last week, so he was not available against Union Berlin. The experienced defensive midfielder is likely to be fit for this weekend’s game after getting a good amount of training on the pitch. He is unlikely to feature in the starting XI but should be fit enough to make the bench.

Flick also confirmed that Niklas Sule should be able to play again before the league campaign ends. However, the German defender will need more time to be completely fit. Philippe Coutinho started training on the pitch this week, but he is far from being ready to play again. Corentin Tolisso is the long term absentee for the defending league champions.
