Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident that Bayern Munich will make more signings in coming days and have a strong squad for next season.

Bayern Munich has been subject to intense criticism in the past few days due to lack of movement in the transfer market. The comments of Manuel Neuer’s agent has put further pressure on Die Roten to address the problem positions of the squad.

The Bundesliga champions moved swiftly in the market to sort out the defensive woes of the team. However, the club is finding it to complete deals in the attacking department. Niko Kovac also wants an addition in the midfield department but that transfer is looking unlikely at the moment.

Speaking in a press conference (via SportBild) on Monday, Karl-Hein Rummenigge has urged the fans to be patient regarding summer transfers. The club’s CEO further added that Hasan Salihamidzic is working hard to sign the right players. Rummenigge also gave an update on the potential signing of Leroy Sane from Manchester City.

"“Impatience is a great virtue of the public. But let me remind you that the transfer market is open until September 2nd. We, especially Hasan, are working at full speed. But there has not been any transfer, which we call a domino effect. If there are, many transfers will follow. We are in position. We have enough patience.”“The current situation with Sané is that he comes back from vacation this week. He wanted to think about his future while on holiday. Now we have to wait. We are still looking for wingers as we lost two valuable players in Robben and Ribery.”"

More from Bayern Strikes

Sane has been heavily linked with Bayern in the past two months. The German winger is the prime target for Die Roten, but the deal to bring him in the Bundesliga will be complicated. Moreover, there are reports in Germany suggesting that Sane wants to avoid Bundesliga and extend his stay in the Premier League.

The Bundesliga champions are weighing up alternatives for Sane in case he decides to stay at Man City. Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has reportedly emerged as the backup option for the German international, while the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Everton Soares have also been linked with a move to Bavaria.

The club’s CEO also confirmed that Jerome Boateng has no future at the club. Uli Hoeness had previously advised Boateng to find a new club for next season. However, the German center-back insisted that he is ready to fight for his place at Bayern. He will find it difficult to get regular gametime as Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez and Niklas Sule are the first choice options in central defense.

Rummenigge also commented on the latest remarks from Neuer’s agent. He has already held talks with Neuer. There are no big issues between the player and club, and everyone is looking forward to the pre-season tour next week. The next few weeks will be crucial for the Bundesliga champions as they will be aiming to complete at least two signings before the new season kicks off in August.
