Thomas Tuchel believes that Bayern Munich will need to deliver a performance of the highest quality if they want to have any chance of defeating Arsenal on Wednesday.

Bayern Munich's most important game of the season so far awaits them on Wednesday evening as they host Arsenal in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The two sides played out a 2-2 draw in London last week, leaving the tie very much in the balance ahead of the second leg.

The Bavarians prepared for the game against Arsenal with a 2-0 win over FC Köln on Saturday, with the result finally putting an end to their three-game winless streak. Thomas Tuchel knows that Arsenal will offer them a much tougher test than the Billy Goats, and believes that they will need to answer all the questions they are asked in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal.

"In the end, you must have an answer to everything the game demands of you," Tuchel said. "If you want to progress to the quarter-finals, you can't just rely on counter-attacks; you can't just rely on high pressing; you can't just rely on winning the ball or just possession. You need the whole package."

"We need a complete performance if we want to progress on Wednesday, that little bit of luck, good form on the day and the crowd to hopefully turn home advantage into the decisive factor."

The UEFA Champions League presents Bayern Munich's final hope of winning silverware this season. In order to avoid a first trophy-less season since 2011/12, the Bavarians will hope to get the better of Arsenal and continue their quest for a seventh Champions League title.
