New Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise scores for France in Olympics opener

Michael Olise has made it three goals in as many games for France's Olympic football team. The €60 million new Bayern Munich signing showcased his sublime skill again as Thierry Henry's side began their Paris Olympics campaign with a straightforward win.
France were playing their first game of the Olympics men's football group stage campaign, against the USA in Marseille. They came out on top 3-0, with Olise playing a key role in the win.
The game was deadlocked after an hour, before Olise laid the ball off to Alexandre Lacazette, who scored with a well taken goal from outside the box.
Eight minutes later, the favor was returned. Lacazette fed Olise a pass not far outside the box, and the new Bayern man cut inside in Arjen Robben-like manner before scoring with a superb finish from 20 or so yards out.
Olise once again started in the number 10 role for France, behind Lacazette and Jean-Phillipe Mateta, as Henry played with a diamond formation.
The Frenchman was probably not having his best game up until the hour mark, but a sign of a top player is someone who can turn it on and produce game-changing moments on any day. And Olise did exactly that by proving to be the difference maker for France in their Olympics opener.
After 82 minutes, Olise was replaced by Rennes forward Désiré Doué, who has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent weeks. Bayern have already submitted two bids for the talented winger, who is also attracting the interest of Manchester United and PSG.
The score was 2-0 when Olise was withdrawn, and just a few minutes later, Loïc Badé made it 3-0 to make it three goals and three points for Les Blues.
Thierry Henry's men will be looking for another comfortable win when they play Guinea in Nice on Saturday. Victory would guarantee a quarterfinals berth for France and Olise. The likelihood being even a point would be fine, with their superior goal difference. So we will probably have to wait a little longer before seeing Olise in action at Bayern.
