Bayern Munich have decided against pursuing a transfer for Chris Führich, who was said to be one of their top targets for this summer.

It appears that Chris Führich will not be joining Bayern Munich this summer despite being heavily linked with a move to the club in recent weeks. This is being reported by BILD, who add that the Bayern bosses have decided not to pursue a move for the winger.

Führich was one of the breakout stars of the recently concluded Bundesliga season, helping Stuttgart finish second and qualify for the Champions League.

With a release clause of around 25 million euros in his contract, a number of big clubs are said to be interested in the 26 year old’s signature. But he will not be making the switch to FC Bayern.

With nine goals and seven assists to his name, Führich cemented himself as a top winger in the Bundesliga this season. His performances also helped him earn a spot in the Germany squad for Euro 2024.

Bolstering the attack still remains a priority for Bayern Munich, who also have the likes of Michael Olise, Dani Olmo, and Brajan Gruda on their list of targets.

But the top target for the club is still Xavi Simons, who enjoyed an excellent loan spell at RB Leipzig last season. Max Eberl is said to be a big fan of the Dutch attacking midfielder. But BILD claim that signing him permanently this summer from PSG would cost Bayern Munich around 100 million euros.
