Bayern Munich are set to miss out on the signature of Xavi Simons, and will now reportedly look to go all-in to sign Désiré Doué

Xavi Simons was Bayern Munich's top attacking midfield target, but is now increasingly likely to join RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the season. The Bavarians will now quickly look to switch their focus towards signing Désiré Doué, having already made two bids for the Rennes winger.

The likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Arsenal are also said to be interested in a move for the 19 year old, who is regarded as one of the most talented young attacking players in the world. Capable of playing out wide and in attacking midfield, Doué is currently representing France at the Olympic Games.

Désiré Doué prefers Bayern Munich over other clubs

A transfer for Doué could well cost Bayern Munich around 60 million euros. Their second bid for the Rennes winger was reportedly worth more than 50 million euros. Doué is keen on a move to Bayern, and would prefer joining Vincent Kompany's side over Paris Saint-Germain.

Doué came through the youth team ranks at Rennes, and has made a total of 76 first-team appearances for them so far, scoring eight goals and assisting a further seven. He has clearly made a strong impression on the Bayern bosses, who are desperate to bolster the team's attack this summer.

Bayern Munich have already signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, and are willing to part ways with Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry before the transfer window closes.
