Bayern Munich have identified two top targets to strengthen the attack. They have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign Michael Olise. Bayern are focussing on negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Xavi Simons. It will not be a straightforward deal for Die Roten as there is significant competition from another Bundesliga club.

According to SportBild, RB Leipzig are leading the race to sign Simons from PSG. The Dutch forward is leaning towards another year on loan at Leipzig. Bayern are not giving up on the deal, as they are negotiating for a loan with an obligation for Simons. The Dutch international had a productive loan spell at RB Leipzig last season, chipping in with 23 goal contributions across all competitions.

Paris Saint-Germain are not eager to sell Simons this summer. They will be open to sealing a permanent deal next summer since PSV Eindhoven’s clause to get a share of the sale will reportedly expire by the end of next season.

Simons is currently part of the Dutch squad at the Euros. The 21-year-old forward will resolve his future after the tournament. It looks certain that he will leave PSG, but the destination is yet to be confirmed. Bayern will continue to push for the deal despite Leipzig having the upper hand. Max Eberl is eager to bring the Dutch forward to Munich.

Bayern will turn their attention to Simons’ RB Leipzig teammate Dani Olmo if a move for the Dutch forward doesn’t materialize. The Spanish playmaker is on the list of transfer targets at Die Roten. Olmo has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract at Leipzig, but it expires in mid-July.

The Bavarian club will make space for two new forwards by listening to offers for Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. Coman is already attracting interest from PSG, while Sky Sports in the UK has reported that Barcelona and one Premier League club are also interested in the French winger.

Coman is open to leaving Die Roten this summer. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry is not keen on leaving Munich. The German winger started preparing for next season on Tuesday. He is eager to get back to his best in the Bavarian colours. Gnabry’s game time may decrease next season due to new signings and Mathys Tel getting a more prominent role in the first team. Die Roten need departures to fund their squad overhaul. They may have to convince Gnabry that a transfer will benefit all parties.

Before moving forward with departures in the attack, Rekordmeister will look to secure the signature of Simons. Olise is expected to become a Bayern player by the end of this week.
