Bayern Munich are looking to freshen up their attacking options in the summer. Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry will be allowed to leave Bayern if adequate offers arrive during the next couple of months. Die Roten are looking to add a wide player to the squad. They have already contacted an English club to strengthen the attack.

According to The Athletic, Bayern have contacted Crystal Palace to explore a move for Michael Olise. Newcastle United and Chelsea have also touched base with Palace, while there is interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.

Olise reportedly has a release clause worth £60 million (€70.5m) in his contract at Palace. Bayern, Chelsea, and Newcastle United have asked Crystal Palace permission to hold talks with the winger. The French winger’s future is likely to be resolved before he joins the French squad for the Olympics in July.

Michael Olise had a terrific season with Palace last season. He chipped in with ten goals and six assists in 19 league appearances. If not for serious injuries, Olise would have enjoyed better numbers in the final third. He has the composure to play the right pass in the final third, along with a healthy knack for scoring goals. Bayern will be investing a significant chunk of their transfer budget if they sign Olise. They need sales of Coman and Gnabry to go through in order to fund a deal for the 21-year-old forward. He will be an outstanding signing for Bayern, but it will be a complex deal to complete due to interest from several clubs.

The Bavarian club is also interested in signing PSG’s Xavi Simons. The attacking midfielder/winger had a terrific loan stint at RB Leipzig last season. PSG are eager to keep Simons, which makes a move to Bayern difficult this summer.

Bayern complete the signing of Hiroki Ito

Bayern completed their first summer signing on Thursday. They activated the release clause of VfB Stuttgart’s Hiroki Ito. The Japanese defender completed the paperwork and medical in Munich on Thursday. Die Roten are paying €30 million for the 25-year-old defender.

The Bavarian club is also in talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Jonathan Tah. The German international has already agreed terms for a move to Munich. Bayern will look to sell Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano to make space for Tah and Ito.

Bayern want to conclude the majority of their transfer business before the end of the Euros. They are also negotiating with Fulham for Joao Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder has his heart set on a move to Munich. With interest in Olise registered, the upcoming weeks will be very busy for Max Eberl and Christoph Freund.
