During the November international break, Jamal Musiala has confirmed to the media he is happy at Bayern Munich. This despite recent Man City transfer interest.
From Bayern Munich's perspective, all eyes will be on their players during the November international break. Not only from a progressional perspective, but also because Die Roten want nothing less than their players to become injured during the break.
Bayern Munich have not lost a single game in Bundesliga. Heading into the break, they are the only unbeaten team in the German top flight and they are top of the table, five points ahead of RB Leipzig.
That said, their star player Jamal Musiala has become a figure of Man City transfer interest. He was questioned about his contract situation at Bayern Munich while on international duty.
Man City transfer target confirms he is happy at Bayern Munich
According to a report from FourFourTwo, Jamal Musiala refused to comment on the possibility of signing a new contract at Bayern Munich. However, he did say he was happy at the Bavarian club.
In his own words, Musiala said: "Signing a new deal at Bayern or not? I can't say much about the contract topic. My focus is on the DFB team and I want to concentrate on the international matches for now. I'm happy in Munich, I can say that."
Both Manchester sides (United and City) and Real Madrid have all shown an interest in signing Jamal Musiala. It is no surprise, considering he is one of the best players in the world currently and still in the early stage of his career.
However, Bayern Munich will do everything in their power to keep ahold of Jamal Musiala. From Bayern's perspective, they do not currently fear losing their star player.
At the end of last month, it was confirmed that Jamal Musiala was open to extending his contract at Bayern Munich. Jamal Musiala and Bayern Munich are in talks over the new contract, so it is not simply something that Bayern are neglecting.
From Bayern's perspective, they would like to extend Musiala's contract by the end of the year. That way, they can focus on having a strong end to the season.
Of course, until Musiala extends his stay at Bayern Munich, there will be clubs sniffing around his signature. This is simply the price which Bayern Munich have to pay for housing one of the best talents in the world.
