Vincent Kompany has made an instant impact at Bayern Munich. The Belgian coach has got the team playing an attractive style of football, and most importantly, he has created conditions for the team to win games consistently.

From an attacking perspective, Kompany has helped all forwards to thrive under his system. After enduring a difficult last season due to lack of form and injuries, Kingsley Coman has also looked back to his best under Kompany. The French winger is currently a first-choice option for the Belgian coach on the left flank.

Coman was out of the door at Bayern in the summer. There was concrete interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the French winger. Liverpool and Arsenal were also linked with the 28-year-old winger throughout the summer. Bayern were ready to sanction a transfer to make space for new signings. However, a transfer never materialized, and Coman stayed in Munich.

Bayern are still open to parting ways with Coman in the near future. However, Sky Sports in Germany has reported that Coman has no plans to consider a move away from Munich in the winter transfer window. The French winger is enjoying life under Kompany and wants to stay in Bavaria at least until the end of the season.

Coman still has a chance of staying at Bayern beyond summer

The record champions are planning to make big changes in the attack during the summer. Die Roten are interested in signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Apart from Wirtz, Bayern have been strongly linked with Lille’s Jonathan David. The Canadian forward will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Leroy Sane are facing an uncertain future. There is a good chance that two of these three senior forwards are likely to leave Munich in the summer. Gnabry and Coman can be sold for a transfer fee in the summer, while Sane can leave as a free agent.

At this point, Coman is outperforming Gnabry and Sane under Vincent Kompany. If the French winger continues to deliver consistent performances until the end of the season, the club chiefs may have a change of heart and keep him in the squad for next season.

After getting clarity about his future in the winter, Coman will hope to stay fit for the rest of the season and play regularly for Die Roten. Playing well for Bayern will also help Coman to get more game time with the French national team.
