Bayern Munich have been working hard on contract renewals of several key players since the start of the season. They successfully managed to convince Alphonso Davies to stay at the club despite strong interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United. Davies signed a new deal with Bayern at the start of February.
The record Bundesliga champions have also secured the long-term future of Jamal Musiala. Die Roten want to make Musiala the face of the club for the next decade. The young German attacking midfielder has been rewarded with a pay bump, and release clauses have been added to his new deal.
After securing the futures of Musiala and Davies, Bayern are focusing on extending the contract of Joshua Kimmich. The German midfielder has four months left on his contract. Kimmich is taking time to assess his future, but the latest update from Germany bodes well for the Bavarian faithful.
According to Ran Sport, Bayern are close to agreeing a new deal with Joshua Kimmich. The Bavarian club will likely complete the final details of the agreement this week. There has been interest from Manchester City, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid, but Bayern have managed to convince Kimmich to spend the rest of his peak in Bavaria.
Kimmich will get a pay rise worth €3 million in gross salary, earning up to €22 million. The German midfielder will also get a sizeable sign-on fee since he was set to become a free agent in the summer.
Apart from Ran Sport, Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that negotiations between Bayern and Kimmich are at an advanced stage. If things go as planned, an announcement from Die Roten will come in the coming days.

Kimmich likely to miss game against VfB Stuttgart
Joshua Kimmich will miss his first game of the season on Friday as he faces a race against time to be fit for the clash against VfB Stuttgart. The German midfielder had to be substituted against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend due to a muscle injury. He is expected to be fine for next week’s Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
Considering how crucial Kimmich has been for Bayern this season, Vincent Kompany will take no chances with his fitness and give the German midfielder ample amount of time to be ready for next week’s Champions League clash. Leon Goretzka and Aleksandar Pavlovic are likely to start in the center of the park against Stuttgart.
Bayern can go 11 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table by getting a win away at Stuttgart on Friday.
