Robert Lewandowski has largely dominated the news for Bayern Munich lately as the Polish striker was subject to a second bid from FC Barcelona. The Polish striker is pushing for a departure from Bavaria. In the coming weeks, there could be similar transfer speculation surrounding Serge Gnabry.

The German winger is yet to sign a contract renewal with Die Roten. He had reportedly rejected an improved offer made by the club. Gnabry will be making a decision regarding contract renewal when he returns from vacation.

It has been constantly reported in Germany that Bayern will be listening to offers for Gnabry if he decides against signing a renewal. The German Champions are in no mood to lose a quality forward at the peak of his career for a free transfer. Die Roten may also adopt a ruthless approach if Gnabry rejects a contract and transfer this summer.

According to Kicker, Bayern will be open to omitting Serge Gnabry from matchday squads next season if he stays at the club without signing a new deal. It will be a brutal approach since Gnabry has been a very valuable member of the team for the past three seasons.

Serge Gnabry will have to make a decision regarding his future in the coming days to make sure that he plays regularly next season ahead of the World Cup in Qatar. He will need regular playing time to be on the plane for the World Cup with the German National team. Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic remains hopeful about an agreement over a new deal with the winger.

Gnabry has been linked with Real Madrid and Arsenal this summer. The two clubs have not made a bid for him. However, things could change if Die Roten puts him on the market. According to Sky Sports (via iMiaSanMia), Manchester United also holds an interest in Gnabry. In the event of departure, Bayern would prefer a bidding war for the German winger.

Bayern has been linked with Antony and Christopher Nkunku as possible replacements for Gnabry. Both transfers look unrealistic even if Gnabry leaves Bavaria. Nkunku has signed a new deal at RB Leipzig, while Ajax reportedly values Antony for €80 million, which is an exorbitant fee.

The Bavarian faithful will be hoping for the best possible solution between Gnabry and Die Roten. There is no point banishing a top player like him to the stands. The sooner Gnabry’s future is resolved, the better it will be for Julian Nagelsmann’s plans for next season. The situation around him will be more clear when he returns to Munich next week.
