Bayern Munich: Ajax firmly interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee
Bayern Munich has been working hard on reshaping the squad for next season. The German club has also been actively looking to sort out deals for players that will be permanently leaving Bavaria this summer. The departures will certainly help in boosting the budget for the summer.
Joshua Zirkzee is one of the players from the first team that can get a decent fee for Bayern Munich. The Dutch striker has hinted towards a permanent transfer, but Hasan Salihamidzic reportedly wants him to get a chance to impress Nagelsmann in pre-season.
As things stand, a move for Zirkzee before pre-season is looking unlikely, but by the end of the window, he could be playing in Eredivisie. According to Voetbal International, Ajax has identified Joshua Zirkzee as one of the key transfer targets to strengthen the attack for next season.
The Dutch club is planning to sign Zirkzee and Brian Brobbley for the center-forward position after selling Sebastian Haller to Borussia Dortmund this week. De Telegraaf has also confirmed Ajax’s interest in Zirkzee, with the Dutch club ready to pay a fee up to €10 million for the forward.
After a productive loan spell at Anderlecht last season, Zirkzee is looking for regular playing time next season. The Dutch forward will benefit from a move to Ajax as the Amsterdam-based club is good at developing young players. It is a no-brainer for him to leave Bavaria since he is unlikely to get adequate playing time at Bayern next season.
However, Ajax may have to fork out a bigger fee for Zirkzee. As per previous reports in Germany, Bayern will look to get close to €15 million for the young forward. After managing to score more than 15 goals for Anderlecht last season, Die Roten’s transfer fee demand for him makes sense.

Ajax will surely have competition for Zirkzee. VfB Stuttgart has been lately linked with the Dutch striker, while there has been reported interest from West Ham in the forward. Anderlecht is also reportedly open to bringing Joshua Zirkzee back to the club after a successful loan spell.
The Dutch club may have the upper hand in negotiations over other clubs as they enjoy a good relationship with Die Roten. The two clubs recently negotiated a deal for the transfer of Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutch midfielder will be playing in Bavarian colours next season. Zirkzee’s future will not be resolved anytime soon, but Ajax will most likely be his destination by the end of the summer.
