The transfer window is shaping up well for Bayern Munich. The German Champions are looking to complete the majority of their business before the start of the pre-season tour. Die Roten confirmed the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax on Monday. The Dutch midfielder became Bayern’s second senior signing of the summer after the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui a few days ago.

After signing the two players from Ajax, Die Roten will switch their attention to completing the signing of Sadio Mane from Liverpool. The 30-year-old forward has reportedly set his heart on the move to Bavaria, but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

Die Roten already had two bids rejected for Mane in the last couple of weeks. According to Sport1, the German Champions are planning to make an improved third bid for the winger and wrap up the deal this week. The information from Sport1 has also been echoed by SportBild regarding the third bid for Mane.

It makes sense for Liverpool to sanction the departure of Mane this week once Bayern reaches closer toward their evaluation. The Merseyside club has already found the replacement for Mane as they agreed a club-record fee for Benfica’s Darwin Nunez on Sunday.

Liverpool is looking to get more than €40 million for the winger. The Bavarian club had two bids rejected worth €25 million and €30 million. The third bid is likely to make or break this deal for Bayern. Meanwhile, Mane has completely agreed terms for a three-year deal with the German Champions.

The Merseyside club works on the model of making big money buys by selling players for a good fee. The transfer of Nunez could cost them €100 million, a fee that could very well be partially funded by Mane’s departure. The next few days could finally see the deal to bring Mane to Bavaria come to a positive conclusion.

Apart from Mane, Die Roten is also interested in signing VfB Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic to bolster the attack. The Austrian striker’s entourage held talks with Bayern officials at the end of the season. There has also been interest from Borussia Dortmund and some English clubs in Kalajdzic.
