The last few weeks have confirmed that Bayern Munich is working on deals to find a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The German Champions are working on deals for Sadio Mane and Sasa Kalajdzic, while Lewandowski keeps putting pressure on the club to sanction his departure in the summer.

Kalajdzic’s representatives were spotted at Sabner Strasse after the end of the last season. The Austrian striker is also attracting strong interest from Borussia Dortmund, while VfB Stuttgart also remains hopeful of keeping him. The recent update from Germany suggests that Bayern can come up with a deal that can massively help Stuttgart.

According to SportBild (via Goal), VfB Stuttgart holds an interest in Bayern’s Joshua Zirkzee. The Bavarian club could be open to offering a swap deal for Kalajdzic, which will see Zirkzee going the other way. The Dutch striker is not expected to stay at Bayern after a productive loan spell at Anderlecht.

Stuttgart reportedly wants €25-30 million for Sasa Kalajdzic. In an ideal scenario, Bayern comes up with a package of cash worth €10 million-plus Zirkzee for the services of the Austrian striker. It remains to be seen how keen Stuttgart is on signing Zirkzee in this deal.

After a disastrous spell at Parma in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign, Zirkzee joined Anderlecht last summer. The Dutch striker managed to hit double digits in goals for the Belgian club in the league and enjoyed a great run of form throughout the season. The Belgian club is reportedly interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

As things stand, Zirkzee’s contract at Bayern expires in 2023. He has hinted toward a permanent departure this summer if he is not going to get an adequate amount of playing time at Die Roten. It does look like a transfer is more than likely with the likes of Ajax and West Ham showing interest in him.

A move to Stuttgart will benefit Zirkzee and Bayern massively. The German champions will get their preferred target for the number nine position, while Zirkzee will get an opportunity to prove himself in the Bundesliga. It remains to be seen Stuttgart’s valuation of Zirkzee since he has one year left on his contract at Bayern. Meanwhile, the German champions will be hoping to get at least €15 million for Zirkzee after his prolific season at Anderlecht.

The coming weeks will decide Kalajdzic’s future. The Bavarian club will be eager to beat off the competition from across Europe to get a traditional number nine for Julian Nagelsmann. A swap deal will help them in spending significantly less, and it also provides a good solution for Stuttgart.
