Mickael Cuisance

Mickael Cuisance signed for the German champions in August 2019 after a spectacular spell with Borussia Monchengladbach. He was seen as a potential young Midfielder for the Bavarian Side and was signed for an amount nearing €10 Million.

The skilled, talented Frenchman was not able to prove his worth with the Die Roten. Since being signed from Borussia Monchengladbach, Cuisance has never really managed to get a consistent run in the first team at Bayern. After making just nine appearances during the 2019/20 season, Cuisance spent the 2020/21 campaign out on loan at Olympique Marseille. The loan spell turned out to be disappointing for the French midfielder as Marseille decided against signing him on a permanent deal.

Bayern Munich eventually decided to sell Cuisance to the Italian side of Venezia FC in the 2022 winter transfer window. The Frenchman played 13 competitive games for the Bayern Munich during his three years at the club. He was part of the team that won the treble in 2020 but hardly managed to get playing time during the historic run.

Reports in Germany suggested that Cuisance didn’t show the best attitude during his time in Bavaria. Considering the promise Cuisance showed at Gladbach, it is a travesty that the Bavarian faithful couldn’t see Cuisance’s best at Allianz Arena. Despite the promise he showed in glimpses, Cuisance will be considered a transfer that didn’t work for Bayern.
