Bouna Sarr

Bouna Sarr joined Bayern Munich in October 2020 from Marseille for a fee close to €10M.  Sarr has failed to live up to his expectations with the Bavarian side. With a very limited playing opportunity, the 29-year-old has failed to prove himself in Bayern Munich.

The Senegalese defender was primarily seen as the backup for Pavard in the right-back position. However, the emergence of Josip Stanisic this season has meant that Sarr is now the third-choice right-back in the squad.

Bouna Sarr has struggled to get playing time in Bavaria for the last two seasons. Poor form and injuries have meant Sarr had to be content with odd starts across all competitions this season. The German club was ready to listen to his last summer transfer window offers, but the Senegalese full-back decided to stay put for a season.

The Senegalese defender has struggled for playing time under Julian Nagelsmann this season. With the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui, Sarr will have next to no chance of getting playing time in the senior team. Sarr is expected to leave Bayern in the summer and go down as a transfer disappointment under Salihamidzic.
