A productive afternoon for forwards

FWD, Leroy Sane — 8/10

Sane had one of his best outings in the Bavarian shirt on Saturday. The German winger looked sharp with and without the ball throughout his stay on the pitch. He was going past players with ease and creating chances for his teammates. His delightful footwork created the goal for Serge Gnabry, but it was ruled out for offside. The German international was eventually rewarded when he converted a difficult chance created by Muller. A strong end to the season for Sane bodes well for the next campaign.

More from Bayern Strikes

FWD, Thomas Muller — 7.5/10

It was yet another good performance for Thomas Muller. The German forward has been consistent for most of the Bundesliga campaign. He worked hard to win the ball higher up the pitch and delivered some dangerous crosses in the box. Muller eventually got the assist that he was looking for when his first time hit cross was poked in the goal by Sane. A staggering record for Muller as he recorded 19th assist of the season.

FWD, Serge Gnabry — 6.5/10

Gnabry was quiet during the first half. After halftime, his performance drastically improved as he was taking on players with ease. His clever movement in the box got him the goal, but unfortunately, it was marginally offside. The German winger’s impact eventually waned as the second half went on, making it a mixed afternoon in Freiburg for him.
