Lewandowski equals the record

ST, Robert Lewandowski — 8/10

Lewandowski finally matched the stellar record of Gerd Muller in the most anti-climatic way. The Polish striker slotted the first-half penalty with ease to make it 40 league goals for the season. He got himself in dangerous positions to break the record but scuppered two sitters in the second half. Nevertheless, a phenomenal achievement by the Polish striker. He will most likely break the record next week when Die Roten hosts Augsburg.

Substitutes

FWD, Kingsley Coman — 7/10

Coman almost made an immediate impact after coming on the pitch as he created a big chance for Lewandowski with a terrific cross. It was a good cameo, where he took up some nice positions in the final third.

MID, Marc Roca — 6/10

Roca came on midway through the second half to slot in the defensive midfield position. The Spaniard was not spectacular, but he kept the play ticking in the center of the park.

MID, Corentin Tolisso — 6/10

Tolisso was back in action after February. The Frenchman was a bit rusty in a more offensive position. With more training sessions and appearance, he will get back to his best.

DEF, Bouna Sarr — 6/10

Sarr came on late in the second half to replace Sule. Unfortunately, the second goal was conceded from his side. The Frenchman probably can’t wait for a difficult debut season to end.
