Bayern Munich can clinch the Bundesliga title this weekend and start planning for the next season. The German Champions have already completed the transfer of RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, while Omar Richards is reportedly on his way to Bavaria from Reading in the summer. Apart from these two players, the German Champions are likely to bolster the midfield department.

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus has been reported as the midfield signing for Rekordmeister in the summer. However, SportBild’s Tobi Altschaffl is now reporting that Die Roten will not be moving for Nehaus this summer due to the expensive release clause of the midfielder. The German international will remain a transfer target for the future.

Neuhaus has been delivering impressing performances for Gladbach in the last couple of seasons. The German midfielder has been attracting interest from numerous top clubs in Europe. Considering Bayern has always tried to sign top German talent, links to Neuhaus were not surprising.

The German champions are likely to look at Eduardo Camavinga this summer to improve the midfield department. The French midfielder will be entering the final year of his contract at Rennes. The teenage midfield sensation has been linked with numerous clubs in Europe, but lately, reports have suggested that Die Roten is intensifying interest in him.

More from Bayern Strikes

As of now, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are certain starters for Die Roten. It will be interesting to see what will be the new manager’s preferred midfield pairing since Hansi Flick looks certain to leave in the summer.

Apart from this German duo, Corentin Tolisso and Marc Roca are other midfield options at the club. Tolisso’s future is uncertain as the club reportedly wants to cash in this summer and invest the outlay in new arrivals. Meanwhile, Roca has endured a tough debut season in Bavaria. The Spaniard is likely to be better next season, but Die Roten will need a midfielder to improve the quality of the squad.

Since Nehaus is out of the reckoning, Die Roten will have to move quickly for Camavinga. Rennes would ideally like a bidding war for him. The French club’s stance in negotiations is weakened due to the contract situation of the teenager.

Nevertheless, a midfield signing looks inevitable in the summer. Along with a midfielder, Die Roten may have to look at a right-back and winger. Bouna Sarr could be on his way out after a poor debut season, while Douglas Costa is also returning to Juventus.
