Just like normal last weekend of the transfer window, clubs are frantically looking to make final moves. Bayern Munich is not expecting any incomings, but they could part ways with few players. Douglas Costa could be one of few players that could leave Bavaria in the next three days.
According to Tuttosport (via Milannews.it), AC Milan is exploring a move for Costa in the final days of the transfer window. This report insists that Bayern will be open to cutting short Costa’s loan at the club, allowing him to look for more playing time during the second half of the season.
It is a complicated transfer to complete in the last few days as three clubs are involved. The Brazilian winger returned to Bayern on a one-year loan deal. The German Champions have no option to make this move permanent in the summer.
Costa was the much craved fourth winger that Hansi Flick wanted after the club failed to sign Ivan Perisic permanently from Inter Milan. The Brazilian was expected to be a rotational player, but he has been left frustrated with very limited playing time.

The good form of Kingsley Coman has made him a guaranteed starter in the first team. On the other flank, Flick has been rotating between Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry. Jamal Musiala has also emerged as a potential wide player for Flick after the teenager impressed at the start of the season.
With so many players ahead of him, Costa has been reduced to playing time in dead rubbers in the cup competitions. He did get three starts in the league when other wide players were not available for selection. Costa has found it difficult to make a big impact to give Flick a selection headache, managing three-goal contributions in 510 minutes of action for Die Roten. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
Considering the situation of coronavirus, Bayern will be better served by keeping Costa in the squad. Having a bigger squad in the final four months of the squad will benefit Flick to manage the workload of key players.
Meanwhile, Bayern has agreed to a loan move with Parma for Joshua Zirkzee. The Italian club will complete the final details of the transfer in the coming days. Parma will also have an option to make the move permanent in summer for €15 million. The Italian club managed to beat the competition from Everton to sign the young Dutch striker.
