Bayern Munich squad players linked with moves to Juventus
The summer transfer window could see a big upheaval at Bayern Munich. The German champions will need reinforcements, but they cannot spend crazy money due to the severe impact of the pandemic on the club’s finances.
In terms of departures, Corentin Tolisso and Joshua Zirkzee could be on their way out in summer. According to Calciomercato, Juventus is showing strong interest in both players. This report insists that Juventus need a fourth striker immediately, so Zirkzee could be on the agenda in this window itself.
Tolisso has been a bit-part player for Hansi Flick this season. The French midfielder was heavily linked with a move during the second half of last season, but Thiago’s departure made sure that Die Roten had to keep hold of Tolisso for one more season.
However, the French midfielder’s game time has not improved drastically this season. Tolisso’s current contract is set to expire in 2022, so Die Roten reportedly wants to cash in next summer and reinvest in transfers, with Florian Neuhaus emerging as the top midfield target for next season.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee has been struggling to get playing time at Bayern after enjoying a breakthrough season last year. The Dutch forward has been open to leaving on loan, but a good financial offer may turn Bayern’s head about keeping him.
Juventus would not be an ideal destination for Zirkzee since he needs regular playing time to continue his development. At Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata are ahead of him in the number nine role. It would be much better in the long term for Zirkzee if he secures a loan move to a club where he is guaranteed a good amount of game time in the second half of the season.
According to Sky Sports, Parma and Everton have made offers worth €10 million for Zirkzee that could be a loan with an option/obligation to buy. The Dutch striker is likely to be first choice number nine for Parma, while Everton will make him the backup striker to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Both players are at a stage in their careers where they need consistent playing time for different reasons. Moreover, Bayern will also benefit from some cash to bolster the squad for next season. Tolisso still has a role to play in the current campaign, but Zirkzee could be on his way out before the end of the current transfer window.
