Bayern Munich midfielder Mickael Cuisance emerges as target for Leeds.
We are almost into the final ten days of the transfer window. Transfers could happen quickly as clubs scamper to complete the business as all leagues have kicked off their new campaign. Bayern Munich will be looking to sanction both departures and arrivals before October 5.
In terms of departures, Javi Martinez looks likely to leave Bavaria after eight productive seasons. The Spaniard was not spotted at the club’s photoshoot event for the new season this week, but he did travel with the squad to Budapest for the Supercup game against Sevilla. The latest reports from French suggest that another Die Roten midfielder may be subject to bid before the deadline day.
According to Foot Mercato, Leeds United are interested in signing Mickael Cuisance before the deadline day. This report suggests that Marcelo Bielsa is a big fan of the young French midfielder. Foot Mercato also insists that Marseille remains keen on signing Cuisance on a loan deal.
Cuisance has been adamant about staying at Bayern since reports started suggesting that he could be leaving on loan at the end of last season. The French midfielder has struggled to get regular playing time in Bavaria since moving from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer.

The 21-year-old midfielder is likely to play more regularly this campaign. Die Roten reached an agreement with Liverpool for the departure of Thiago Alcantara last week. With Martinez almost on the verge of leaving the club and no signs of new arrivals in the midfield department, Cuisance will get more chances this season.
Moreover, this season is going to be cramped up with fixtures and Die Roten’s participation in the club World Cup. Hansi Flick will have to rotate to avoid serious injuries and fatigue, so Cuisance should be assured of getting playing time. The French midfielder did come on against Schalke in the second half last Friday.
In any scenario, Die Roten is unlikely to sanction a permanent transfer of Cuisance. Hasan Salihamidzic has previously insisted that Cuisance has impressed in training. He backed the young midfielder to be an important player for the club in the future.
Along with Cuisance, Adrian Fein is also likely to have a significant role to play for Die Roten this season. The German midfielder played for the reserves team last weekend, but he will soon get chances this season. Unless the club brings in a star midfielder, it will be difficult to see Mickael Cuisance playing football for another club next season.
