Outrageous hattrick against Werder Bremen

Coutinho enjoyed a strong run in the starting run under Niko Kovac during October. The departure of Kovac came at the wrong time for the Brazilian since he was getting better after every passing game. The Brazilian forward had to work hard to get back in the lineup under Hansi Flick.

The former Liverpool forward enjoyed his best performance in Bavarian colours just before the winter break. Flick started Coutinho in the home against Werder Bremen as they looked to get back to winning ways after consecutive defeats against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach.

More from Bayern Strikes

Coutinho repaid the trust of Flick by delivering a five-star performance. The Brazilian scored three sizzling goals, all worthy of the goal of the season contender. The outrageous skill to chip the goalkeeper insider the box showed why he is one of the most aesthetically pleasing footballers on the planet.

Along with scoring goals, Coutinho also grabbed two assists against Werder Bremen. From Die Roten’s perspective, the mammoth win against Bremen kickstarted their campaign. They didn’t lose a single game in the rest of the season after defeating Bremen at Allianz Arena. For Coutinho, it was a memorable performance that he is going to cherish throughout his career as he keeps the match ball from this game.
