Benjamin Pavard vs Moussa Diaby

Benjamin Pavard was one of the top performers for Bayern during May. The French international was exceptional defensively, and also chipped in with important goals. Pavard managed to find the net twice in four games and helped the team to keep three clean sheets.

Pavard has held back while attacking compared to Alphonso Davies. The Frenchman often became the third center-back when the team was defending deep. Having said that, whenever he went ahead, he was a threat as his final ball has improved, and he can launch absolute rockets from outside the box due to his fine shooting technique.

More from Bayern Strikes

On Saturday, Pavard will come up against Moussa Diaby. The former Paris Saint-Germain winger has been a key player for Leverkusen in his debut season. Diaby can operate on both flanks, but lately, Peter Bosz has been using him on the left flank.

The 20-year-old winger can beat full-back with his pace and trickery. His end product has improved as the season progressed, contributing to nine goals in the Bundesliga. Nevertheless, Diaby is an important player for Leverkusen as he stretches defense by holding the width. Pavard will have to be careful defensively as Diaby has the quality to beat him in a foot race. The battle between two Frenchmen will surely keep fans on the edge of their seats on Saturday. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
