Kingsley Coman is eager to achieve success with Bayern Munich as he plans to stay in Bavaria for a long time.

Bayern Munich wanted to improve their attacking options in summer. The German club decided to start rebuilding the attack from last summer, as they bide farewell to Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in summer.

Leroy Sane was the top target for Die Roten as they worked hard to put a deal in place for him, throughout the summer. Due to the serious injury to Sane, the move eventually didn’t materialise, and Bayern moved swiftly to sign Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic.

The Bundesliga champions also believe that Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman can become the key men in the attack. Coman particularly is ready to step up after playing second fiddle at Bayern for the past four seasons. The French winger did start the season strongly, but his form plummeted in the last couple of months.

Amidst his poor form, there has been transfer speculation surrounding Coman. In November, one report in England stated that Manchester City sees Coman as a replacement for Sane. However, Coman has no plans to leave Bavaria anytime soon. In an interview with 51 (via SportBild), Coman admitted that he is completely settled at Bayern.

"“I am sure that I will stay with Bayern for a long time: The city is great, the club very good, we are collecting titles – all we need is the Champions League.”“Except for the weather, I would not change anything.”"

More from Bayern Strikes

The German media outlets insisted that Bayern Munich also have no plans to part ways with Coman.  Coman joined Bayern on a loan deal from Juventus in 2015. The French winger impressed under Pep Guardiola but struggled with injuries after the Spaniard’s departure.

Bayern eventually decided to take up the option of signing him permanently. The German club further extended his contract to 2023, reiterating the faith they have in his talent. It is time for Coman to repay the faith by becoming a key player for the club. He needs to become more productive in the final third and target a minimum of 20 goals and assists every season.

Meanwhile, Die Roten remains interested in Sane, but they are likely to sign him during the next summer transfer window in a separate deal. The German club has reportedly initiated talks with Sane’s representatives. Considering all the reports in the past couple of months, this transfer looks inevitable.

Pep Guardiola confirmed in summer that Sane is not interested in signing a new deal at Manchester City. The English club will have no option other than sanctioning his transfer next summer. Sane will improve the quality of Bayern’s attack. His arrival will also force Coman and Gnabry to work hard for cementing a place in the starting lineup.
