Bayern Munich has enjoyed another successful year in terms of revenue as they reveal revenue figures for 2018/19 season.

The 2018/19 campaign was a successful year for Bayern Munich as they managed to retain their Bundesliga title. Die Roten also managed to clinch DFB Pokal for the first time in three seasons. The only disappointment for Bayern was in the Champions League as they were knocked out by Liverpool in the round of 16.

Apart from on-field success, Bayern enjoyed a very good year in terms of revenue and profit. The German club released the financial details of the 2018/19 campaign on Wednesday. The club earned a record overall revenue as they breached the €750 million figure, seeing a 14.1 percent rise in this figure compared to last year.

Die Roten also took a major leap in terms of overall profit for this fiscal year. The overall profit before tax saw a staggering rise of 63 percent compared to the 2017/18 season. These numbers show that Bayern is slowly developing its brand and becoming one of the financial powerhouses in European football.

Karl Heinz-Rummenigge expressed his satisfaction regarding these record numbers in the press release issued by the club. He believes that Bayern is moving in the right direction both on and off the pitch.

"“Of course we are extremely pleased with FC Bayern’s financial development.”“Both the turnover and the profit rose to new records. FC Bayern’s development is outstanding, both in a sporting and financial sense.”"

More from Bayern Strikes

Bayern pride themselves for effectively running the business and football side of the club. They have been striking numerous sponsorship deals in the past few seasons to improve their brand across the globe. It is important that the German club improves financially every year to keep pace with English clubs and Spanish giants that are getting richer every season.

This financial stability has allowed Die Roten to invest extensively in the squad this summer. Die Roten smashed their transfer record to sign Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid. Apart from Hernandez, Bayern completed deals for four other players. The club was on the verge of making Manchester City winger Leroy Sane as the most expensive German player until he suffered a serious injury at the start of August.

On the pitch, the Bundesliga champions will be hoping to achieve similar results as last season. They have made a fine start to the Bundesliga campaign despite a disappointing result against Hertha Berlin in the opening weekend. Just like last season, a tight title race should be expected as Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig look in good shape.

Along with domination in the domestic competition, Bayern will be looking to stamp their authority in the Champions League. The German club has not won this prestigious competition since winning the historic treble in 2013. Die Roten’s squad is not perfect, but still good enough to go deep in the competition this season.
