Bayern Munich has reportedly started negotiations with Manchester City to complete the transfer of Leroy Sane.
It was a successful pre-season tour for Bayern Munich. Niko Kovac was pleased with the performances of his players. However, the movement in the transfer window continues to frustrate Die Roten as they still need at least two more signings.
Leroy Sane has been the key transfer target for Die Roten throughout the summer transfer window. The German winger is considered as the perfect addition to Bayern’s attack after the departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
The deal to bring Sane in Bavaria has been complicated by numerous factors. Uli Hoeness has been pessimistic about this transfer due to the transfer fee demanded by Man City. There were reports in Germany and England that Sane is not interested in leaving the Premier League.

Finally, there have been some positive developments for Bayern in this transfer saga. Die Roten reportedly held talks with Sane’s representatives this week regarding a move to Bavaria. The latest report from Daily Mirror suggests that Bayern has also started negotiating with Man City to conclude this transfer.
Hasan Salihamidzic is leading the negotiations from Bayern’s side as the English champions want £90 million for the German international. The Bild in Germany (via Sport Witness) has also reported that Die Roten is now holding talks with Man City. This report insists that Financial Fair Play regulations might force Man City to sell Sane this summer.
Pep Guardiola has also opened the door for Sane’s departure. The Spaniard wants to keep the German winger, but he will allow this transfer to happen if Sane doesn’t want to stay in Manchester. The Premier League transfer window closes in a fortnight. Man City would like Bayern to come up with a serious offer soon, allowing them enough time to find a replacement for the German winger.
Sane will help in elevating Bayern’s attack to the next level. His productivity in the final third will decrease the burden of Robert Lewandowski. Die Roten will have one more match-winner in the attack that can help them to improve their performances in the Champions League.
Apart from a winger, the Bavarians are looking to sign a holding midfielder. Espanyol’s Marc Roca is the player that could execute this role for Die Roten next season. The German champions have reportedly agreed to a long term contract with the midfielder. Bayern might start open negotiations with Espanyol next month as their main focus is on completing a deal for Sane.
