Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness is confident that the club will have a strong squad for next season.

There are a lot of huge expectations from Bayern Munich in the current summer transfer window. The Bundesliga champions will finally have a squad overhaul as they are planning to sign young players.

They started executing the transfer plans even before the season ended. The defensive problems were addressed in an aggressive manner as the club completed deals for Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez by March.

Bayern still needs at least a couple more signings to be ready for next season. The summer transfer window has started quietly as numerous transfer targets are yet to make a decision over their future. Speaking to Sky Sports, Uli Hoeness expressed his frustration regarding the obsession over the transfers. He is confident that Bayern will get the recruitment right this summer and have a strong team for next season.

"“I have to admit, it gets on my nerves that you can only define yourself through new signings. We’ve just won two titles and we should all be celebrating for the moment.”“I can assure you that there will be a good team on the pitch on the 15th of August.”"

Hoeness also admitted that Bayern were not desperate to sell Mats Hummels but decided to respect the wish of the player. He defended the club’s decision to sell Hummels as there are many options in the central defense. Hoeness also insisted that the club will pay a big fee for Leroy Sane if the winger shows interest in returning to the Bundesliga.

The German champions want to sign a wide player after the departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Sane has emerged as the prime target for this position but the player reportedly wants to stay in the Premier League. Die Roten will have to look at alternatives for Sane as they desperately need to add quality in attack.

Apart from defense and attack, Bayern is also eager to sign a world-class holding midfielder. Kovac has previously admitted that the current squad lacks a midfielder that can shield the defense properly and dominate the center of the park against top teams. Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo Hernandez was reportedly the prime target for this position but the Spaniard favors a move to Manchester City over Bayern.

Bayern are trying to securing complicated transfers this summer. The Bavarians are known for their efficient approach in the transfer market over the years. However, this summer they will have to be patient in order to secure their prime transfer targets. Hasan Salihamidzic has a huge task on his hands and the club will be hoping that he can conclude the majority of business before the pre-season tour.
