Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is confident that the club will sign top players like Leroy Sane this summer.

The summer transfer plans are underway at Bayern Munich. The German club is set to have a good number of ins and outs this summer as they try to shake up the personnel of the squad. Die Roten has already bid farewell to James Rodriguez and Mats Hummels this month as they start making space for the new arrivals.

Leroy Sane is one of the few players that is tipped to join Bayern this summer. The German pundits and media have been backing this transfer to happen as it will enhance the reputation of the Bundesliga. Sane has remained tight-lipped over his future and he is yet to decide whether to stay at Manchester City or join Bayern this summer.

The current Bayern players have spoken glowingly about Sane in the past one month. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are eager to play with their compatriot in Bavaria. Speaking to Goal, Robert Lewandowski admitted that the German players at the club are looking forward to Sane’s arrival this summer. The Polish striker also backed the club to make adequate signing to compensate for the departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

"“Bayern’s German players are now very much looking forward to Sane’s signing, but we have to wait and see what is going on.”“They are legends. Of course, their departure is sad. But Bayern will also sign more and better replacements. I believe that the winger Bayern will sign in the future will be as good as Robben and Ribery.”"

The club hierarchy has publicly admitted their interest in signing Sane. However, Uli Hoeness has been pessimistic about signing Sane this summer due to the money involved in this deal. The German champions have dismissed the talk about making a bid for the player. They are currently waiting for Sane to make his intentions clear about his future.

Sane has been one of the best wingers in the Premier League for the past two seasons. The German international has been in double figures for goals and assists in these two seasons. He has found the right level of consistency in his performances under Pep Guardiola. Despite the impressive numbers in the final third, Sane didn’t feature regularly in Guardiola’s starting eleven last season. This situation eventually led to intense speculation about his future at the club.

Lewandowski also admitted that the Bundesliga champions need necessary signings to keep winning the domestic trophies. He has already urged the club to sign a striker this summer to manage his workload next season. The German clubs struggled in the European competitions last season but the Polish striker is confident that Bundesliga will respond strongly next season.
