Colombian international James Rodriguez is reportedly unhappy with Niko Kovac’s man management at Bayern Munich.
Niko Kovac has struggled to convince with Bayern Munich this season. Many reports have emerged hinting that his players are unhappy, but the Bayern hierarchy still has faith in the Croatian. They back him to turn around his team’s poor form and bring the club back to the top in Germany.
Nevertheless, there has been much speculation this season about the future of James Rodriguez. The Colombian is reportedly unhappy at the club and wants out.
According to a recent report from Sport Bild, James is unsettled due to Kovac’s rotation policy and strict man-management style. The attacking midfielder misses a figure like Jupp Heynckes at the club, who helped him regain his best form last season.

James was Bayern’s best player in the second half of last season. Heynckes made the Colombian the main man in his midfield. He ended the campaign with eight goals and 14 assists across all the competitions. James spent most of this past summer’s World Cup injured, but he still delivered the goods when called upon.
The Colombian has struggled with both injury and form this season. He has featured in only five Bundesliga games so far and just seven games across all competitions. James has found the net three times and grabbed one assist in these appearances.
The former Monaco midfielder suffered a serious injury in training last week. It’s yet another big blow for Bayern as he is unlikely to play again this year.
James was linked with a return to Real Madrid in the summer, but he dismissed these links and claimed that he was completely happy with life at Bayern. The Bavarians were ready to make his move permanent from Real Madrid next summer. However, the situation has reportedly changed now and Bayern might not make his transfer permanent. James reportedly wants to hold talks with the club’s hierarchy during the winter break in order to assess his situation at in Munich.
It will be a huge mistake if Bayern part ways with James. The Colombian is going through a tough phase but still remains Bayern’s most productive attacking player after Robert Lewandowski. It is just a matter of time before he regains his place in the starting lineup. Bayern are set to make changes to their squad next summer and the first step for this overhaul should be signing the Colombian on a permanent basis.
