Securing the future of Jamal Musiala is a top priority for Bayern Munich in the coming months. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has less than two years left on his current deal. Every top club in Europe is eagerly following the situation of Musiala at Bayern in case there is an opportunity to sign him next summer.

Bayern started discussions with Musiala and his representatives over a new deal last month. The initial talks have been positive, but there is a long way to go. Along with meeting Musiala’s sporting ambitions, Bayern will have to make a big financial offer to extend his contract.

According to SportBild and Bild (via iMiaSanMia), Musiala will join the group of top earners at Bayern if he signs a new contract. The German international is expected to earn close to €20 million/year after signing the new deal.

Die Roten are hoping to make the first financial offer in the next round of talks with Musiala. The Bavarian club doesn’t want contract negotiations to become a saga. Bayern hope to reach an agreement with the German attacking midfielder by the end of 2024. The likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona will keep a close eye on how negotiations progress between Musiala and Bayern.

Bayern want to pair up Musiala and Florian Wirtz in attack next season

After agreeing to a new deal for Musiala, Bild reports that Bayern will start working on a deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Wirtz is the top target for Bayern next summer. The German forward will have two years left on his contract at Leverkusen, which makes a transfer more likely in the next summer transfer window.

Extending the contract of Musiala will boost Bayern’s chances of signing Wirtz. The Bavarian club wants Musiala and Wirtz to be the face of the club for the next decade. Die Roten are expecting Wirtz to cost €100 million instead of the reported transfer fee of €150 million. Musiala’s renewal will help in convincing Wirtz that a move to Munich is the next step in his career.

The signing of Wirtz will significantly bring down the age of Bayern’s attack. They will have a good mix of youth and experience in the final third. Bayer Leverkusen would prefer selling Wirtz outside the Bundesliga, but the player’s desire will dictate the transfer. The Bavarian faithful will hope to see Musiala and Wirtz cause havoc in the final third while playing for Bayern next season.
