Bayern Munich capped off pre-season with a comfortable win over Austrian top flight side WSG Tirol, with Harry Kane, João Palhinha, and Gabriel Vidović all on target.
Ahead of Bayern Munich's season opener on Friday, Vincent Kompany's starting XI against WSG Tirol was: Ulreich; Aznou, Fernandez, Dier, Davies; Laimer, Palhinha; Licina, Vidovic, Coman; Kane.
It was interesing to see Coman start the game, despite all of the recent speculation regarding his future at the club.
In his second game, and first start since returning from holiday, Kane needed just three minutes to open his account, finding the net with a left-footed finish from close range. The England captain looks a lot sharper than he did during the Euros, and appears to have shaken off that back issue sustained against Real Madrid last season.
At the interval, Vincent Kompany introduced Nestory Irankunda, Noël Aséko, and Michael Scott for Kane, Davies and Coman.
New signing João Palhinha doubled the lead for Bayern three minutes into the second half with a lovely goal from the edge of the box, showing he is more than just a defensive midfielder.
Gabriel Vidović then put the gloss on the win ten minutes from time with a left-footed finish, as he tries to stake a place in the first-team plans for this upcoming season.
It was seriously impressive work by Irankunda, who latched onto a loose ball from WSG Tirol, dribbled past a player, kept his balance despite a clear foul from said player, before showing high IQ to square to Vidović, who was able to find the back of the net.
Jonathan Asp Jensen replaced Adin Ličina immediately after the goal, as Vincent Kompany continues to try out as many players as possible from a bloated squad.
Michael Olise met up with his new team-mates today at Säbener Straße, after a seriously impressive Olympic Games campaign - but the game was slightly early for him to don the Bayern Munich jersey for the first time.
The result made it four wins and one draw from five pre-season games. Bayern's next game will be a competitive one - a trip to second tier side SSV Ulm 1846 in the DFB-Pokal on Friday night, where we could Olise make his debut.
