Former Bayern Munich transfer target chooses Arsenal instead

Bayern Munich have a week to rest. After Thomas Tuchel's side begun to pick up some amazing momentum, the international break came at the worst possible time for fans. Still, at least the players have the time to recuperate before some important matches, including the Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal.
It goes without saying that Bayern Munich have an exceptional history against Arsenal. That aside, the two clubs have shared some incredible players throughout their history - Including Lukas Podolski, Serge Gnabry and Vivianne Miedema.
Bayern Munich hoped to add Takehiro Tomiyasu to that list earlier in the season. Bayern Strikes first reported of Bayern's interest in the Arsenal full-back in November. The transfer never happened, through Mikel Arteta wishing to keep Tomiyasu. If Bayern Munich had any plans to reignite their interest when the summer transfer window opens, they can kiss those plans goodbye.

The official Arsenal website confirmed this morning that Takehiro Tomiyasu had put pen to paper over a new contract extension at the Emirates Stadium. This all but confirms that Bayern Munich will not stand a chance of signing Tomiyasu in the summer transfer window.
Fear not, Bayern Munich fans. There could still be business ongoing between the Bavarians and the Gunners, this summer. After all, Oleksandr Zinchenko remains an interesting target for Bayern Munich, particularly if they do part ways with Alphonso Davies this year.
Zinchenko primarily operates as a left-back, but he has great versatility in his locker to play as a midfielder too. He is a free-roaming playmaker who is comfortable with the ball at his feet. Since he is falling further and further down the pecking order, Arsenal could be tempted to sell him for the right price in summer.
Who do you think Bayern Munich will sign in the summer transfer window?
