Bayern Munich had their transfer business wrapped up for January last week. However, the serious knee injury for Kingsley Coman on Saturday against Augsburg. The French forward is expected to be out for two to three months due to this injury. Coman’s injury has forced Bayern to look for an attacking reinforcement in the transfer market.

Instead of going for a new forward, Bayern are looking to pre-pone the signing of Bryan Zaragoza from Granada. Die Roten have already agreed a deal with the Spanish club for a summer transfer. The two clubs are now negotiating for a winter transfer.

Zaragoza was happy to stay at Granada until the end of the season as he wanted to help the Spanish club stay up in La Liga. However, Sky Sports in Germany is now reporting that Zaragoza is open to joining Bayern before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.

Sky Sports is also reporting that Die Roten have offered an extra €3 million to bring Zaragoza to Munich in January. Talks will continue between both clubs as Bayern look to strengthen the attack before the end of the day.

Bayern had agreed a fee close to €15 million with Granada for Bryan Zaragoza at the start of December. The Spanish winger completed the medical and paperwork for the transfer at the start of January. He had heaped praise on Die Roten for allowing him to stay at Granada until the end of the season. Unfortunately, Coman’s injury has forced Rekordmeister to reassess the situation and bring Zaragoza to Munich sooner rather than later.

Zaragoza has been in sublime form for Granada this season. He has scored six goals and provided two assists in 21 appearances. The 22-year-old forward also got his first cap for the Spanish team earlier this season.

The Spanish winger can play on both flanks. He can also slot in the number ten role behind the striker. Zaragoza creates space and chances for his teammates with precise dribbling. He has got a great eye for a killer pass in the final third. The Spaniard has all the necessary skill set to fill the void of Coman in the squad.

Bayern couldn’t get deals over the line on the deadline day in the summer. The record Bundesliga champions do not have a lot of negotiations to complete on Wednesday. The Bavarian club will hope that Zaragoza is in the squad on Saturday to make his debut against Borussia Monchengladbach.
