Bayern Munich are actively looking to strengthen their attacking options for next season. They already have acquired the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. Bayern are also negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Xavi Simons.

According to L’Equipe (via GFFN), Bayern have overtaken RB Leipzig in the race to sign Xavi Simons. The Bavarian club has sent a loan offer with an obligation to buy Simons next summer for €90 million. The Dutch attacking midfielder has no intentions to stay at PSG this summer.

RB Leipzig are Bayern’s primary competitor for Simons. The Dutch international enjoyed a productive loan spell at Leipzig last season. They are eager to sign Simons for one more season, but it does look like Die Roten are making a much more appealing financial offer to PSG.

Sky Sports in Germany have denied Bayern making an offer worth €90 million for Simons. Max Eberl is eager to bring Simons to Bavaria. He had signed the Dutch attacking midfielder last summer for RB Leipzig. With Simons returning from vacation later this month, Bayern will hope to find a breakthrough with PSG sooner rather than later.

PSG make superior offer than Bayern for Désiré Doué

Simons is not the only attacking player Bayern are currently pursuing. They had one bid rejected for Rennes winger Désiré Doué. Die Roten's head coach, Vincent Kompany, has reportedly held talks with the young French winger. However, they are facing significant competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

The French champions have made their first move for Désiré Doué. PSG have made a superior first bid than Die Roten worth €45 million, including add-ons. The Bavarian club is expected to return with an improved offer.

Doué and Simons would like to get clarity regarding their future sooner rather than later. Die Roten want to sign both players. However, they must make space in the squad by selling senior wingers. Kingsley Coman is generating interest from Turkey, but the French winger doesn't want to play in the Turkish league at this point in his career. PSG have shown interest in Coman, but it has yet to materialize into a concrete bid. Serge Gnabry is also up for sale this summer, but the German winger is in no rush to leave Bavaria. He is determined to return to his best at Die Roten next season.
