Bayern Munich internationals: Harry Kane fit for Euro 2024 but Raphael Guerreiro misses out
Harry Kane is set to lead the line for England at Euro 2024, but Raphael Guerreiro has been left out of the Portugal squad due to injury.
England have announced their provisional squad for Euro 2024, and Harry Kane has been included despite his recent struggles with a back injury. The Bayern Munich striker was forced to come off during the Champions League semifinal second leg against Real Madrid due to back problems, and also missed the last two Bundesliga games of the season.
Having scored 44 goals in his debut season with Bayern Munich, Kane will return to Germany this summer to lead England's charge at the European Championship. The Three Lions will face Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia during the group stage.
While Kane is headed to the Euros, Raphael Guerreiro has been left out of the Portugal squad for the tournament. The left-back will miss this summer's event due to the ankle injury he sustained earlier this month.
Kingsley Coman, meanwhile, is facing a race against time to be fit for the Euros. The Bayern Munich winger has been included in the France squad, and has been training individually in recent days. There is optimism that he will be able to reach full fitness ahead of the tournament.
Six Bayern Munich players were also named in Germany's Euro 2024 squad, which was announced last week. More call-ups will be announced in the coming days.
Euro 2024 is set to get underway on June 14, and the Allianz Arena in Munich will host a total of six matches, including Germany's opener against Scotland, as well as one of the semifinals.
